At the world?s largest boat show, the 2012 Dusseldorf Boot, Bavaria Yachts unveiled its new, most innovative sailing yacht, the Vision 46 to a large crowd with grand excitement.

The development process for the Vision started with consulting cruising sailors from around the world about what would make the perfect sailing cruiser. Bavaria then employed the expert power of Farr Yacht Design and the British boutique firm, Design Unlimited. The result is a boat that will set a new standard in the owner?s cruiser category, with a focus on high-end elegance, comfort and easy handling.

The new Vision Series offers features that were, until now, only seen on mega yachts. The unique cockpit design has an offset companionway allowing space for a large port cockpit table that is electrically lowered and convertible to a lounging/day bed. Additionally, Bavaria?s docking system employs drop-down bow and stern thrusters, coordinated with the main engine for complete control and accuracy in tight quarters. Between a Hollywood superstar and a voice actor, the latter realistically works harder. It’s real challenging for him to convey feelings and emotions while reading, fully knowing that he will not be seen on the screen. The voice actor must be able to empathize with the character that he portrays and make sure that he breathes life into the script. It is in this realm where voice over training is essential.

Voice over artists are able to master the craft of voice acting and find good employment in this field by undergoing voice over training. Thousands of animated TV shows, cartoons, radio advertisements, web shows and movies are produced on a regular basis. Moreover, each movie/TV show has a cast of more than 20-30 characters. There are worldwide opportunities galore for a voice actor.

Voice over training course – the basic skills that you ought to possess

One of the most important tools of the trade is diction. The student must have perfect enunciation and therefore must attend speech classes to get his diction properly. A voice talent would always have two roles to perform – the “acting,” and the “lending voice.” So, perfect diction is not enough to begin voice over training – the student must also enroll in an acting course prior to joining the voice over course.

What’s taught in a voiceover training program

The student learns how to evaluate and interpret commercial copy for announcer and real-person roles. Interpreting narrative copy, as well as technical copy, are learned as well. Students learn how to coordinate the mind, mouth and voice efficiently, so that they may be able to sound really true to the character they are playing. The student also learns how to take direction.

A great voice actor training course makes students read, record, play back, listen, and then do it repeatedly until they get it right. When students are already half-way into the voice over training program, they become skilled at using and adjusting pitch, tone, volume and delivery speed to cater to numerous types of jobs.

After the main training is over, students learn how to promote their skills, tap the right contacts, and get voice over work. Instructors of the voice over program also assist them in creating a voice over demo, which would become part of their portfolio. An opportunity to experience working in a real studio is provided in a solid voice over training course for students. They also learn what the do’s and don’ts are whenever they are behind the microphone or in a sound booth.

Selecting a voice over training program

There are two facets to voice training. A commercial voice over course must be chosen by students who are interested in selling. Commercial voice talents are employed for selling. TV advertisements, radio ads, phone and other media feature these voice overs. Selling skills are also covered by a voice over course since all commercial voice overs sell a service or a product. This program does not cover acting skills. Students who are interested in showbiz must opt for a TV and movie voice over and dubbing program. Such courses require lip-synching, and so the voice over actor has to learn acting skillsets too.
