What kind of sand paper did you use, what grit? And the paint, for both the trailer and the boat, what kind did you use? The boat I'm doing is so similar to yours. I just want to make sure the paint holds up.

I didn't use much sand paper, the pressure sprayer I used did a pretty good job of getting rid of any radicals, the paint I used was Krylon Aluminum paint, but you could go to Home Depot etc. and ask them for a good aluminum paint and it would work just as good, for the trailer I used gloss black, just regular spray paint.

They can handle quite a bit of weight, I would say somewhere in the neighborhood of 600lb., this boat is a 14ft. but the extra 2 feet is mostly the bow, which is just extra and not really touching the water when it's in the water.

Hello indy I'm working on a similar project. I have a 12ft aluminum I recently gutted out. My bare floor is similar to yours. with the small humps across the bottom I was just wondering how did you lay the carpet? Does the carpet lay over smooth? I was thinking about laying down rubber mats myself but carpet seems to be a little cheaper. Thanks for any help.
